Kas Salu Villas: a villa resort demo

Kas Salu is a fictional villa resort on Bonaire that we made up to show what a hotel or villa website can do. Walk through every house in real-time 3D, pick your dates and book directly.

The brief

We imagined six houses on the quiet coast north of Kralendijk: four villas and two sea suites, each with its own pool, a dive dock out front and the sun setting behind Klein Bonaire. A small, owner-run place where the owner answers WhatsApp herself.

The site had to let guests understand the property before they book, show free dates honestly and take direct bookings, so the owner relies less on booking platforms.

What we built

The centre of the site is a real-time 3D model of the property. Guests fly over the garden, tap a villa to step inside and walk from room to room. The light follows the real Bonaire sun, and you can switch to golden hour or night to see the villas lit up. A guided tour plays the highlights.

For people who prefer plans, every house has a floor plan with room sizes and furniture. A small panel shows Bonaire's time, sea, trade wind and today's sunset.

The calendar shows free and booked nights for each house. Guests tap their arrival and departure, or drag across the days. The minimum stay is built in, as are higher prices in high season, and the total with cleaning shows straight away.

How the booking and owner view work

Booking takes five steps: dates, house, guests and extras, details, and a final check. The site only offers houses that are free and big enough for the group. Extras include airport pickup, a stocked fridge, a pickup truck for shore diving, dive tanks, late check-out and breakfast.

In the owner view, the new booking appears on the booking calendar. A today tab lists arrivals and departures with check-in, check-out and WhatsApp buttons. A housekeeping tab turns every departure into a cleaning checklist, and a monthly tab shows occupancy, nights booked and revenue.

A WhatsApp button opens a chat with the owner, and a scripted assistant answers questions about houses, diving and airport pickup. On a real site, that can be an AI assistant.

Design choices

The look is calm and warm: salt white, soft pink and rose with cactus green, an elegant serif for headlines and a clean sans-serif for prices and dates. It should feel like a quiet place to stay, not a booking engine.

The 3D viewer is the showpiece, but guests who would rather not explore in 3D get the same answers from the floor plans and the calendar. Animations are gentle and switch off for visitors who prefer reduced motion.

What this means for a real hotel or villa

A real property would get its own houses, rooms and rates, with real confirmations by email or WhatsApp. A 3D walk-through is built per property, so we look at what makes sense for yours. A calendar, direct booking and an owner view work for any size, from one apartment to a small hotel.

Questions
Is Kas Salu Villas a real resort?

No. Kas Salu Villas is a fictional business. We built this demo to show what a website for a villa resort can do. The prices, reviews and bookings on it are examples, and bookings you make stay in your own browser.

Does the 3D walk-through work on phones?

Yes. It runs in the browser, phones included, with no app to install. You drag to look around and tap to step inside a villa or walk to another spot.

What would a site like this cost?

Websites start at $500 to build, plus $50 a month. The monthly fee covers hosting, security and updates: when your specials, prices or opening hours change, you send a message and it's live. Every business needs something different, so after a short call we send you an offer tailored to what you need. A 3D walk-through is extra work built for each property, so it is part of that tailored offer.
